One on One Pistol

One hour of one on one training in Cortland NY or Mt. Vernon NY. From basic mechanics and handling to precision shooting at multiple distances. Carry with confidence.

One on One Shotgun

One hour of one on one training. Smooth bore shotguns with rifled slugs only. Learn how to unload and reload, proper handling and sighting. Home defense techniques and more.

One on One Rifle

One hour of one on one training at Blue Mountain State Park. Whether semi-auto, rimfire or bolt action, we can accommodate all. 15yd, 25yd, 50yd, 100yd, 200yd and even 300yd available. Learn about your new rifle. Proper handling, sighting and utilization.

Group Classes

Get out from behind the bench. Shooting at distances from 3yd to 25yd. Steel or targets. Draw from holster, transition rifle to pistol, fun shoots and more. No better way to spend a day than shooting at an outdoor range.

Permit Services

We know the permit process can be confusing and little help is available. For a nominal fee, we can help. We provide all the forms, computer generated, clear and legible. We assist in all the notarizing and additional amendments needed.

About Focus Firearms Training NY

Focus Firearms Training NY was founded by Ari Rolnick. An NRA certified and insured firearms instructor. We started FFTNY because we felt that people needed an environment to learn about firearms without all of the typical political rhetoric and negative sentiments. This is a politics free learning environment where we focus on the tasks at hand rather than the bluster. We teach everything from the basic understanding and handling to advanced techniques such as shooting and moving and drawing from holster.
